VSGA & MAPGA Present Rules of Golf Workshops in 2013

Register for Fun, Interactive VSGA-MAPGA Rules of Golf Workshops for 2013

Some of the VSGA's and MAPGA's
top rules' officials
will be among the instructors at a combined seven full-day and half-day VSGA-MAPGA Rules of Golf
workshops to be offered throughout 2013.
The workshops are designed for both novices
and individuals interested in learning more about the intricacies of the Rules of Golf. The sessions include fun and engaging discussion as instructors illustrate actual Rules' situations using video clips and other interactive technologies.

–HALF-DAY WORKSHOP SCHEDULE /
OPTIONAL GOLF FEATURES–

- Review of Definitions
- Discussion on the Rules of Golf
- PowerPoint presentation showing actual Rules situations
- PGA member service requirement credit
- Optional golf following the session for a cart fee only
(weather permitting – paid on site and participants
must attend the workshop in order to play)

–HALF-DAY WORKSHOP SCHEDULE–
Monday, March 11 – 1757 Golf Club, Dulles
Monday, March 18 – Cavalier Golf and Yacht Club, Virginia Beach
Wednesday, March 20 – Ballyhack Golf Club, Roanoke
Saturday, March 23 – Jefferson Lakeside Country Club, Richmond

Half-day programs will be conducted from 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
(registration begins at 7:30 a.m.)

- Review of Definitions
- Discussion on the Rules of Golf
- Use of the Decisions of the Rules of Golf book
- PowerPoint presentation showing actual Rules' situations
- PGA member service requirement credit

–FULL-DAY WORKSHOP SCHEDULE–
Monday, Feb. 11 – Elizabeth Manor Golf and Country Club, Portsmouth
Saturday, Feb. 16 – Army Navy Country Club (Arlington Course), Arlington
Tuesday, Feb. 26 – Farmington Country Club, Charlottesville

Full-day programs run from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
(registration begins at 7:30 a.m.)

Registration fees are as follows: VSGA members ($30–half/$50–full); MAPGA professionals ($30–half/$50–full); students ($20–half/$35–full); non-VSGA members ($40–half/$60–full);
non-MAPGA professionals ($40–half/$60–full).

The half-day workshop fee includes a continental breakfast, refreshments during breaks and a Rules of Golf book.

Any club seeking an opportunity to educate its members about the Rules may contact the VSGA about conducting an afternoon or evening Rules of Golf presentation. These informative and interactive sessions are approximately 90 minutes in length.
