The process for appealing a property tax assessment varies from state to state, however in most cases involves the filing of a formal appeal, a hearing before a politically appointed board of view and then, if necessary an appeal to local or state courts.  While many appeals result in filings in court, few actually reach the trial stage, but we recommend always being prepared for the eventuality of trial.

I had planned to write in this space about my recent visit to the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. It seemed busy and as usual, I saw old friends and met new ones in our wonderful yet sometimes challenging industry. However, I decided to write about this morning’s discussion on Golf Channel’s “Morning Drive” program where host Brandel Chamblee took a very strong position condemning participation in next week’s Saudi International event in Saudi Arabia.
