Syngenta Presents: Unlocking Golf's True Potential |
Thank you to everyone who attended our presentation at the annual National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) Multi-Course Owners Retreat in Monterey, California last month. We appreciated the opportunity to share our report "Unlocking Golf's True Potential", which focuses on the economic value of growth within the female golfer market.
A few findings from the study highlight why female participation in golf is the biggest opportunity in the industry to grow the game and shape the future: |
- 23% of golfers in the U.S. are female
- 31% of U.S. female non-golfers and lapsed players would be "very interested" or "interested" in taking up golf in the next two years
- Women spend an average of $949 on golf annually
- Female golfers would like valet parking & locker room amenities, signage on the course, an app/website for viewing course information
- Women spend 25% more than male players on golf lessons
- Courses that understand the female customer can add value through services and generate more revenue
