MEADOWS OF DAN, VIRGINIA - MARCH 14, 2017 - Primland has been selected as a member of Great Golf Resorts of the World, an invitation-only group of the finest golf destinations around the globe.

For the past 27 years, Great Golf Resorts of the World has recognized the world's most unparalleled golf destinations. A great golf experience is very rarely just about the golf, and member properties are also recognized for delivering the highest standards in accommodations, food, wine, spas and more. Each year, the nine-member Board of Advisors evaluates new properties, selecting and inviting only the most prestigious locations to be included. 2017 marks Primland's first year on the list, joining the likes of Pebble Beach, Bandon Dunes, Streamsong Resort, Pinehurst, and The Old Course Hotel in St. Andrews, to name a few.

"We're honored to be selected to become a member of Great Golf Resorts of the World," said Steve Helms, vice president of Primland. "The designation reflects the ongoing commitment to quality that our staff has exhibited in serving our guests and is a proud moment for our team."

Designed by Donald Steel, Primland's Highland Course was carved from the mountainous landscape of Meadows of Dan and guides players across ridge tops and over valleys, showcasing the area's breathtaking scenery at every turn.

Nestled in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains, Primland is the perfect luxury resort for couples, families and groups, with 12,000 acres of undisturbed land that is home to an abundance of outdoor activities including world-class golf, wingshooting and hunting, tree climbing, fly fishing, RTVs, horseback riding, kayaking, archery, tomahawk throwing and much more. The mountainous views surround guests from all angles of the resort, providing a scenic backdrop for the players on the Highland Course and guests exploring the nature trails along the restored former Appalachian Trail throughout the property.

For availability and reservations, please call 866-960-7747, or email visit primland.com.
