GPA Celebrates 35 Years in Business

35 Years!

This week marks the occasion of our 35th anniversary in the business of providing the highest quality consulting, appraisal and brokerage services.  

Established in 1980 as a typical commercial and residential appraisal shop, we've come a long way.

During that time, we've been privileged to complete approximately 3,000 golf property assignments in 45 US states, Canada, the Caribbean, Panama and Scotland.  We have also been at the forefront of developing and expanding the golf property appraisal profession. Through our leadership  the Society of Golf Appraisers (SGA) was established, and we've made numerous contributions to educational seminars and conferences in a presenting role and through hundreds of published articles in a variety of journals and publications. We've been published in professional journals like the Appraisal Journal, The Journal of Property Tax Assessment and Administration and Real Estate Issues and numerous golf industry publications like Golf Course Industry, Boardroom, Club Director and Golf Business. I've provided expert testimony in many courts of law on a variety of golf property issues and we've brokered over $125 million in golf properties.

Through our practice, I've had the privilege of visiting some of the special places the game (and business) of golf has to offer and developed business and personal relationships with many of golf's special people. I can't think of a better way to combine one's profession and passion.

To our many clients and friends, who include lenders, attorneys, clubs, owners, management firms, developers, municipalities and investors, I say THANK YOU for your confidence in Golf Property Analysts for all these years.  We have strived everyday to justify that confidence by providing a level of commitment, passion and service to our profession and clients that exceeds what is otherwise available.  

Going forward, we plan to further enhance our services by using technology to make us more responsive and efficient and to enhance our clients' experience in benefitting from our services.  My mother always stressed the concept of doing things "the right way" and that has always guided us in our business.  While we are not focused on being the biggest, we are committed to being the best at what we do and look forward to many opportunities to be of service in the future.
