Position: Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, The Woodlands & Diamond Ridge Golf Course, 2309 Ridge Road, Windsor Mill, MD 21244

Operation: 36 holes public course, 6613 yards from white markers, 34,000/55,000. Bentgrass and Poa annua greens, Bentgrass and Ryegrass Tees and Fairways. Toro Site Pro Automatic Irrigation System.

Duties: Golf Course Maintenance, golf course budget, purchasing responsibility, clubhouse lawn, flower gardens, trees and shrubbery and plant nursery.

Responsible to: Joe Haskins

Salary: D.O.E.

Education: Bachelors degree, Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from four to two year college or technical school. (Degree preference in agronomy/horticulture/plant/soil science.

Experience Required:

Works with the superintendent to ensure that the annual golf course maintenance budget and capital plans and maintained and followed. Supervises and assists maintenance staff in daily duties. Supervises the plant and cultural practices involved in growing various turf grasses, trees and ornamental plants. Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each new employee. Develops ongoing training programs for all employees. Ensures proper calibration of all spraying/fertilizing equipment.
