Last Update :4/1/2013 Follow-up to the State of Golf in Virginia Meeting
The State of Golf in Virginia meeting held March 5 at the Country Club of Virginia was well attended and highly informative. Bringing together some of the brightest minds in golf in the country, five elite panelists offered their opinions on a wide variety of golf topics - ranging from the current state of the game, to the present overcapacity in the sport, to what the future holds for the industry - and answered many questions from the audience. The response from the attendees has been excellent and sincere thanks to Richard Cromwell of the Country Club of Virginia, Damon DeVito of Affinity Management, Keith Happ of the USGA, Mike Hatch of Acumen Golf, and Larry Hirsch of Golf Property Analysts for participating in the meeting.
From those who were not able to attend the symposium, two of our panelists, Damon DeVito and Larry Hirsh, have graciously provided copies of their presentations to NCGOA VA members. Damon is President of Affinity Management - a premier professional management and consulting firm specializing in private clubs, country clubs, golf courses and equestrian centers (click here for a copy of Damon's presentation, "What's Happening Now").
