The Virginias Chapter of CMAA is joining forces with the Virginia Golf Course Superintendents Association and National Golf Course Owners Association Virginia Chapter to offer a special networking event. Managers, Superintendents, Owners and Club Professionals are encouraged to bring Club Committee Members and Directors. Associate members and industry Partners are also invited to attend.

with Darin Brevard, Senior Agronomist, USGA Green Section
Darin Brevard is a senior agronomist for the USGA Green Section’s Turf Ad-visory Service. He works out of the Mid-Atlantic field office located in Glen Mills, Pa. He conducts visits throughout the five-state region and also speaks at and attends numerous conferences. When time permits, he writes articles for Industry publications.
Darin is a graduate of Penn State University, earning his Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Agronomy, with emphasis on Turf grass Science. Dr.Thomas Watschke was his advisor for his advanced degree studies. His thesis work concentrated on pre-emergence herbicides and their effects on creeping bentgrass and annual bluegrass.
Before joining the staff, Brevard worked on several golf courses in the heart of the transition zone in Maryland. Most recent, he was the Assistant Super-intendent at Talbot Country Club in Easton, Md.

A special panel of distinguished Golf Course Superintendents Cutler Robinson with Bayville Golf Club, Christian Sain with The Country Club of Virginia, and Matt Boyce with The Princess Anne; along with USGA Green Section Agronomist Darin Brevard will discuss "what a GM needs to know about turf care" and other key topics.
