The NGCOA Virginia Annual Meeting was held Monday, October 17, 2011 at Hermitage Country Club in the Richmond vicinity. An education session featured Joe Rice, Director of Membership, NGCOA; Rich Mandell, Richard Mandell Architecture, and Alex Miceli, golf personality of The Golf Channel. There were 74 attendees representing 36 different companies or clubs. Here is the agenda:

The education session featured Joe Rice highlighting member benefits, Rich Mandell discussing how to make golf more affordable, and the musings of Alex Miceli on the PGA Tour and otherwise. Following lunch, the participants enjoyed a golf competition at Hermitage’s Sabot Course, site of the Valentine Invitational and formerly the State Amateru. The team of Mike Hatch (Acumen Golf), Bret Efird (Bridgestone Golf), Peter Hodson (Birkdale GC) and Chewey Lynch (Golf Cart Services) won the tournament.

Following the event, prizes were presented and participants enjoyed a reception sponsored by Performance Food Group, featuring tenderloin, chilled shrimp, southern barbeque and a full service bar.
