Glen Allen, VA – On Thursday, February 10 during the National Golf Course Owners Association’s general meeting, part of the association’s annual conference in Orlando, FL, Michael Hatch, Director of Operations for Acumen Golf and General Manager of Birkdale Golf Club and Brandermill Country Club in VA was newly elected to the NGCOA board of directors. This is the first time a golf course owner/operator has been chosen from the state of
Virginia.
As an industry consultant and course operator, Hatch will have to take part in legislative issues and industry sessions improving the participation in golf and sharing his experiences as an owner. Hatch commented, “I am very excited and honored to be part of this great association. Our industry is facing many challenges and the availability to communicate and discuss potential solutions with great operators on a national level is very exciting.”
