The new NGCOA MA President is Mike Hatch, Director of Operations for Acumen Golf and owner of Birkdale Golf Club and Brandermill Country Club in Midlothian, VA. Earlier in his career, he served on the NGCOA board of directors nationally. His company Acumen Consulting serves as an industry leader having worked with Erin Hills in their bid to host the US Open and works with clients up the eastern seaborn.
Hatch is preparing to move quickly once his term begins officially. Among the ideas is the need to establish excellent, firm financial footing for the affiliate. To that end, he will work with his fellow board members to add value to sponsorship and dues packages, and soon the association will announce a new position to focus on sales and marketing of sponsor packages in 2025.
